Job summary

Change Grow Live is seeking a Recovery Coordinator at HMP Channings Wood to help people overcome addiction, reduce drug and alcohol harm, and build lasting recovery. You will assess needs, develop personalised plans, deliver interventions and facilitate group sessions within the prison.

You will work with prison staff and partner organisations to support progression, monitor outcomes and signpost services. Experience in substance misuse or related fields is helpful, but transferable skills and a

• Experience in substance misuse, criminal justice, mental health, social care, healthcare, or related services is beneficial.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out assessments and develop personalised recovery plans.
• Support individuals throughout their recovery journey.
• Deliver one-to-one interventions and facilitate group sessions.
• Help reduce drug and alcohol-related harm and promote healthier lifestyles.
• Signpost and refer individuals to appropriate support services.
• Advocate on behalf of service users to improve access to support.
• Work collaboratively with prison staff, healthcare teams, and partner organisations.
• Support people to build confidence, resilience, and independence.
