Job summary

Waythrough is seeking a part-time Recovery Coordinator/Group Worker for the Whitehaven-based Recovery Steps Cumbria service, with duties spanning assessment, recovery planning and group-based interventions. The role covers both Whitehaven and Workington services, offering strong multi-disciplinary collaboration and community engagement.

You will deliver evidence-based psychosocial interventions, coordinate care, and support individuals toward sustained recovery while working 15 hours per week

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Desirable: addiction studies, counselling, social work, or other therapeutic discipline.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of service users, developing and reviewing recovery plans.
• Carry out triage, screening and assessments to identify needs and risks.
• Provide one-to-one support and deliver psychosocial interventions.
• Develop and deliver recovery groups and structured programmes.
• Collaborate with partner agencies, families and professionals to support outcomes.
• Lead case management including risk assessments and safeguarding.
