Job summary

Change Grow Live in Crawley is seeking a dedicated Recovery Coordinator to assess and engage with service users, helping them access the right intervention at the right time.

Based in the East team with some travel across Crawley and Mid Sussex, the role is 18.75 hours per week on a permanent contract. The salary is pro rata to a full-time equivalent, with a benefits package and DBS check required.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues or relevant experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with good IT skills.
• Proactive, able to work independently with strong time management and prioritising skills.
• Ability to work in partnership with professionals, agencies and stakeholders.
• Understand information governance and safeguarding requirements.
• Willingness to learn and support others' development.

• Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.

With this role you’ll be working as part of our East team, based in our Crawley hub. As our East team covers the Crawley and Mid Sussex districts there will be some travel involved to support our service users where they are. The team supports people with their drug and/or alcohol issues.

Where: Crawley

Part Time Hours: 18.75 hours per week

Contract: Permanent

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the role:

• Supporting service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey


• Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral


• Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community


• Promoting carer, service user and community involvement


• Providing advocacy for access to partnership services


• Motivational Interviewing


• Children’s & adult safeguarding


• Liaison and partnership working including police, probation, courts, prisons.

• Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives: promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination

About you:

• Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and/or experience of working within a similar field


• Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills


• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills


• Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders


• Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users


• Understand the importance of information governance processes and commit to follow and apply all necessary safeguards


• Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others

Salary Range (pro rata if part time)

CGL points 23 to 28 (£28,557.79 - £32,802.41)
