Job summary

Change Grow Live seeks a Recovery Coordinator based in Brighton and Hove to assess and engage service users, ensuring timely access to the right interventions within an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The 6-month fixed-term contract is for 37.5 hours per week, with potential extensions.

You will conduct screening, assessment and recovery planning, provide onward referrals, and promote user involvement while safeguarding information governance.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Recovery Coordinator who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs.

With this role you’ll be working as part of the St Thomas Rehab Service, based in Brighton and Hove. Initially, the cotract is for 6 months with potential for extensions. The team supports people with their drug and alcohol issues in an inpatient rehabilitation service.

Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

About the Role
  • Provide unwavering support to service users from their initial contact with our service throughout their treatment and recovery journey.
  • Providing screening, assessment, and recovery planning and onward referral
  • Reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community
  • Promoting carer, service user and community involvement
  • Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
  • Working with service users to support social (re)integration, enabling them to lead meaningful and purposeful lives promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self-determination
What we are looking for
  • Possess knowledge and experience in delivering interventions for service users affected by substances.
  • Excel in both verbal and written communication, with proficient IT skills.
  • Demonstrate proactive qualities, working independently with excellent time management and prioritising skills.
  • Hold a strong understanding of mental health interventions, services, and best practices.
  • Thrive as a supportive team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with a diverse range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Exhibit the ability to navigate change effectively, always prioritising the needs of service users.
  • Recognise the significance of information governance processes and commit to adhering to all necessary safeguards.
