Job summary

Vets Now Barton Le Clay is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to be the first point of contact during emergencies, greeting clients, taking calls, and processing payments. You will relay updates to the veterinary team, handle bookings and admin tasks, and act as a reassuring liaison for clients and pets.

This on-site role involves weekend shifts and bank holidays, delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced emergency environment to support the clinic’s front-desk operations.

Role Overview

• Be the face of Emergency and Critical Care services:
  • Receptionists are the first point of contact during emergencies, handling calls, greeting clients, and managing financial transactions.
• Provide updates:
  • Relay information to the veterinary team about patients enroute to the clinic or clients in need of assistance.
• Handle administration duties:
  • Perform administrative tasks accurately.
• First point of contact:
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for clients during emergency situations, whether through calls or in person visits. Including greeting all clients, answering calls, and booking appointments as well as handling financial transactions.
• Administration:
  • Manage administrative duties in clinic accurately, ensuring the smooth operation of the service.
  • Providing updates to veterinary staff about patients enroute or clients requiring assistance.
• Client Support:
  • Be a friendly and reassuring presence, offering support and information when clients need it most.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and veterinary professionals.
