Job Overview

The post holder will provide comprehensive and high quality receptionist/telephonist service.

The post holder will work in a challenging environment that undergoes constant changes and will need to exercise judgement and use a combination of skills to deal with day‑to‑day issues.

The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a sensitive and caring attitude that is client‑focused and maintain a calm and organised approach when working under pressure.

Main duties of the job

The ability to speak Welsh is essential for this post.

  • Deal with patient enquiries in person and over the telephone appropriately, efficiently, courteously, promptly and discreetly, recognising the different needs of individuals.
  • Work flexibly with other practice staff to ensure that the surgery is adequately staffed at all times.
