Job summary

Randox Health in London is seeking a Receptionist/Phlebotomist. Randox will train you to become a phlebotomist and you may work full-time or part-time at Randox Health – London Clinic Cluster.

You will greet clients, collect blood samples, enter data in the PIS, and provide exceptional front-of-house support. The role requires IT literacy, strong customer service and the ability to work across 12-hour shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Experience in a frontline health or customer service role preferred.
• Willingness to train as a phlebotomist.
• Excellent IT and data-entry skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Take blood and urine samples from clients.

Receptionist / Phlebotomist – London - (Job Ref: 26/RPLD) Randox Health continues to be at the forefront of clinical diagnostics, dedicated to improving health worldwide with our disruptive technology and innovative diagnostic solutions. We have an exciting new career opportunity for people with either a track record in health care or customer service who would like to be trained as Phlebotomists. Training will be provided by Randox and we can consider full or part-time hours. Location: Randox Health – London (multiple Sites available) Contract Offered: Permanent. Either full-time or part-time. Working London Clinic Cluster- 12 hour days, 4 on 4 off, 7 days per week. 4 on / 4 off may include shift times of 6.40am to 6.40pm and 7.20am to 7.20pm. Part-time shifts may be considered. For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage. In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS Check Right to Work Requirement Please note that this role requires candidates to have the legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. This is to ensure completion of our 9-month probationary period and for any potential sponsorship decisions to be considered. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer visa sponsorship at the point of hire. What does the Phlebotomist role involve? This role is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent experience from the moment they enter our clinic, taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS).
• Meet, greet, and check in clients, ensuring a welcoming and professional front-of-house experience.
• Respond to client enquiries via telephone and email, providing accurate information and excellent customer service.
• Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent.
• Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
• Engage in upselling and cross-selling at our private health clinic.
• Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
• Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manage various software systems and daily tasks.
• Adhere to all quality management systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
• A genuine interest in becoming a Phlebotomist
• Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends.
• Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month.
• Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
• Valid UK or Irish driving licence.
• Experience in a private healthcare setting.
• Experience in customer service.
