Job summary

Randox Health in Brent Cross, London, is seeking a Phlebotomist to collect blood samples from clients and support clinic operations across multiple Randox Health Clinics. You will manage data entry in PIS, ensure accurate documentation, and contribute to a high-quality patient experience.

The role requires phlebotomy certification or equivalent, strong IT skills, and flexibility with shifts including evenings and weekends. Rotas cover Brent Cross, Broadgate, Hampstead and St Johns Wood.

Qualifications

• Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
• Confident using IT programmes.
• Flexibility with working hours, including evenings and weekends.
• Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.
• Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month.

Responsibilities

• Take blood samples from private and corporate clients ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Enter data into Patient Information Systems (PIS) and maintain accurate records.
• Keep documentation up to date and accurate.
• Represent Randox Health at offsite events and appointments.
• Engage in upselling and cross-selling at the private health clinic.
• Proactively drive sales and meet targets.
• Assist with reception and other admin duties as needed.
• Complete forms, sample labelling and lab orders accurately.
• Demonstrate high IT literacy to manage software and daily tasks.

Our staff are at the heart of everything we do and achieve. We have an exciting new career opportunity for a Phlebotomist within our clinic in Brent Cross shopping centre in London.

Main Location

Unit E1A, Brent Cross Shopping Centre, Prince Charles Drive, Brent Cross, London, NW4 3FP. Successful applicants will work within a dynamic rota model. This means that while rotas will be provided in advance, scheduled shifts may be across different clinic locations within the relevant cluster area, depending on customer demand and operational requirements. This role will cover the following Randox Health Clinics: Brent Cross, Broadgate, Hampstead and St Johns Wood.

Contract Offered

Full-time, permanent

Working Hours / Shifts

4 on 4 off shift pattern 7am to 7pm, including weekends. Rotas are provided well in advance although rotas are subject to change depending on support needed for cover.

Vaccination and Background Check

For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, you must be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage. In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

What does the Phlebotomist role involve?

This role is responsible for ensuring customers have an excellent experience from the moment they enter our clinic, taking blood samples from both private and corporate clients. This is a varied role that may also include the following responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS).
• Demonstrate sensitive communication to ensure client understanding and consent.
• Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
• Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments.
• Engage in upselling and cross-selling at our private health clinic.
• Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
• Help with reception, front of house and other administrative duties.
• Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately.
• Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manager various software systems and daily tasks.

Essential criteria

• Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
• Confident using IT programmes.
• Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends.
• Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month.
• Strong communication skills. Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.

• Experience in a private healthcare setting.
