Job summary

Randox Laboratories is seeking a Phlebotomist for our Milton Keynes clinic located in the John Lewis store. The role involves blood collection from private and corporate clients, with a 40-hour week on a 7-day rota and DBS check as per Care Quality Commission guidelines.

Vaccination against Hepatitis B is recommended and right to work in the UK is required. You will maintain patient records in our Information Systems, support offsite events, and contribute to sales of private clinic services.

Responsibilities

At Randox Health we encourage individuals to adopt a personalised, preventative approach to their health and well-being, ultimately helping them to live healthier for longer. Using Randox revolutionary technology we measure hundreds of health biomarkers. Our unique biomarker tracking service allows you to establish a health baseline from which you can track and monitor improvements over time. Location: John Lewis, Milton Keynes. Contract Offered: Full-time, permanent Working Hours / Shifts: 40 hours per week across a 7 day rota, within the following hours Monday to Wednesday 9.30am-7pm, Thursday and Friday 9.30am-8pm, Saturday 9am-7pm and Sunday 10.30am-5pm These shifts are subject to change. For this position, as you may be in contact with live blood samples, its is recommneded that you be vaccinated against Hepatitis B or be able to get it following a successful interview stage. In line with Care Quality Commission guidelines, the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check. Right to Work Requirement Please note that this role requires candidates to have the legal right to work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months from the application date. This is to ensure completion of our 9-month probationary period and for any potential sponsorship decisions to be considered. • Conduct comprehensive client appointments, including blood and urine sample collection, personal health measurements, and data entry into our Patient Information Systems (PIS).
• Maintain accurate records in PIS, uploading all relevant documentation.
• Represent the company professionally at offsite events and appointments.
• Engage in upselling and cross-selling at our private health clinic.
• Proactively drive sales and exceed targets.
• Complete company forms, specimen labelling, and laboratory test order forms accurately.
• Demonstrate high IT literacy in order to manager various software systems and daily tasks.

Essential criteria:

• Previous Phlebotomy experience and certificate or equivalent training.
• Confident using IT programmes.
• Flexibility with working hours, as required by the business inclusive of evenings and weekends.
• Flexibility to work from offsite locations at least once per month.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Currently have the right to work in the UK without visa sponsorship.

Desirable:

• Experience in a private healthcare setting.
• Experience in customer service.
• 6 months experience in Phlebotomy.
• Sales / Retail experience.
• Valid UK driving licence.
