Job summary

Vets Now Worcester is seeking a Part Time Veterinary Receptionist to be the first point of contact for clients during emergencies, handling calls, bookings, and payments. The role includes completing administration to keep the clinic running smoothly and updating staff on patient status.

You will provide friendly client support and act as a liaison between clients and veterinarians. The position offers 7 weeks pro rata annual leave, a birthday paid day off, health plan, CPD allowance, and staff

Key Responsibilities

• First point of contact:
  • Serve as an initial point of contact for clients during emergency situations, whether through calls or in person visits. Including greeting all clients, answering calls, and booking appointments as well as handling financial transactions.
• Administration:
  • Manage administrative duties in clinic accurately, ensuring the smooth operation of the service.
  • Providing updates to veterinary staff about patients enroute or clients requiring assistance.
• Client Support:
  • Be a friendly and reassuring presence, offering support and information when clients need it most.
  • Act as a liaison between clients and veterinary professionals.

Working pattern

Week 1: Monday and Thursday from 19:00 to 00:00

Week 2: Monday and Thursday from 19:00 to 00:00

Week 3: Monday and Thursday from 19:00 to 00:00

Week 4: Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 19:00 to 00:00

Plus, a fair share of bank holidays.
