Job summary

Vets Now Swansea is seeking a friendly Veterinary Receptionist to join the emergency care team. You will be the first point of contact for clients, take calls, greet visitors, book appointments and handle payments with efficiency and care.

Experience in a veterinary or medical reception is beneficial, and you will work within a supportive, flexible pattern that includes evenings and bank holidays. Vets Now offers a benefits package and staff perks in a busy out-of-hours setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as an initial point of contact for clients during emergency situations, whether through calls or in person visits. Including greeting all clients, answering calls, and booking appointments as well as handling financial transactions.
• Manage administrative duties in clinic accurately, ensuring the smooth operation of the service.
• Providing updates to veterinary staff about patients enroute or clients requiring assistance.
• Be a friendly and reassuring presence, offering support and information when clients need it most.
• Act as a liaison between clients and veterinary professionals.

Working pattern

Role 1

Week 1: Tuesday from 18:00 to 00:00

Week 2: Monday and Tuesday from 18:00 to 00:00

Week 3: Friday and Saturday from 18:00 to 00:00

Week 4: Thursday and Friday from 18:00 to 00:00

Plus, a fair share of bank holidays.

Role 2

Week 1: Friday and Saturday from 18:00 to 00:00

Week 2: Thursday and Friday from 18:00 to 00:00

Week 3: Thursday from 18:00 to 00:00
