Therapies Receptionist/Administration Assistant
Full-Time 37.5hrs
Core hours Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Therapies Department. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Receptionist/Administration Assistant who is reliable and willing to learn, to join an efficient and highly motivated administration & clerical team.
The successful candidate will work within a busy and challenging environment; therefore, you must be confident, a good team player, and have the ability to work well under pressure. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential as is the ability to prioritise effectively whilst using initiative.
This role will involve multi-tasking with constantly changing priorities. You will be working closely with the administration/clerical team and therapy staff to ensure an efficient service is provided to our patients.
The post holder will need to have good IT skills. The ideal person will be dynamic, able to think on their feet, and prioritise their workload according to the needs of the department. The ideal person will be able to remain calm under pressure, have excellent communication skills, and will foster excellent working relationships.
The Therapies Department comprises two multidisciplinary based teams, the Medical & Surgical Team and the Network Services Team, incorporating both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. These teams form part of the Trust Medical, Surgical and Network Services Divisions. Each team is led by a Divisional Therapist, Mrs. Noeleen Hellis leads the Network Services Therapy Team, Mrs. Jane Teasdale leads the Medical & Surgical Therapy Team, and Mrs. Clare Johnson for the County Hospital.
If you are successful, you will be greeting and booking in new arrivals to the Therapies outpatient department, ensuring that all patient information systems are kept up to date and helping to create and maintain a friendly, courteous atmosphere for our patients, the general public, other staff, and contacts external to the Trust at all times.
