Qualifications

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Hotel Receptionist to join the team at a stunning beach front hotel on St Martin's, Isles of Scilly. As the first person many guests will meet when they arrive at the hotel, personal presentation is extremely important. You will be a key ambassador for the hotel and will play an important role in ensuring guests feel welcomed, valued and looked after from the moment they arrive.

What You Need to Know

Previous experience working as a Hotel Receptionist is preferred

Experience using Rezlynx or Opera would be highly advantageous

You will have excellent personal presentation and a professional, welcoming manner

You will be confident communicating with guests face-to-face, by telephone and via email

You will be comfortable working in a busy hotel environment and managing multiple tasks

You will need to make your own way to Penzance, Cornwall, at your own expense

You will be required to stay on the Isles of Scilly for the duration of the seasonal contract

The hotel closes for the winter at the end of October 2026

There is an opportunity to return for the 2027 season

Your Role

As a Hotel Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing a warm and professional welcome to guests and ensuring their stay gets off to the best possible start.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming and checking guests into the hotel
