Job summary

Karma Group on the Isles of Scilly is seeking an experienced Hotel Receptionist for a seasonal role on St Martin’s. You will welcome guests, manage check-ins/outs, handle enquiries, and coordinate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

The role requires a warm, professional demeanor, strong presentation, and the ability to communicate with guests in person, over the phone, and by email. Live-in accommodation is provided along with meals and gratuities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Hotel Receptionist preferred
• Experience using Rezlynx or Opera advantageous
• Excellent personal presentation and a professional, welcoming manner
• Able to communicate with guests face-to-face, by telephone and via email
• Comfortable working in a busy hotel environment and managing multiple tasks
• Must make own travel arrangements to Penzance, Cornwall, at own expense
• Seasonal contract with availability to stay on the Isles of Scilly for the duration of the contract

We are looking for an experienced Hotel Receptionist to join the team at a stunning beach front hotel on St Martin’s, Isles of Scilly. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering excellent guest service, has a warm and professional manner, and takes pride in creating a memorable first impression.

As the first person many guests will meet when they arrive at the hotel, personal presentation is extremely important. You will be a key ambassador for the hotel and will play an important role in ensuring guests feel welcomed, valued and looked after from the moment they arrive.

What You Need to Know

• Previous experience working as a Hotel Receptionist is preferred

Your Role
