Job summary

Sea Containers London on the South Bank is seeking a dynamic Receptionist to deliver seamless, personalised experiences from arrival to departure in a luxury setting. You will be the visible lobby presence, coordinating guest arrivals and addressing requests with warmth.

As a Thames Suites Guest Journey Ambassador, you will handle check-in/check-out, VIP preferences, and curated experiences, working across departments to ensure memorable stays.

• Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal, listening, writing).
• Guest-centric approach with strong listening, personalization and anticipation.
• Strong organization and analytical skills in problem-solving.
• Knowledge and genuine interest in luxury/lifestyle hotel and leisure sector.

Responsibilities

• Review daily arrivals to identify VIPs, repeat guests, special occasions, and preferences.
• Coordinate personalized pre-arrival communication (welcome emails, special requests).
• Deliver seamless and personalised arrival experiences, recognising returning guests by names.
• Facilitate special moments (birthdays, anniversaries, proposals, VIP gestures).
• Support concierge-style services including reservations, transportation coordination, and curated experiences.

As a constant and visible presence in the lobby, this role serves as the primary point of contact for guests, embodying the hotel’s commitment to exceptional, guest-centric hospitality.The Receptionist is key to supporting daily processes of guest arrivals and needs and ensuring all guest stays are coordinated and seamless.
