Job summary

Lore Group is seeking a confident, personable Host/Hostess for Sea Containers London’s 12th Knot, a renowned rooftop venue on the South Bank. This part-time role involves delivering outstanding service, greeting guests, managing reservations, and guiding guests around the venue and hotel.

You will thrive in a fast-paced environment, cherishing guest interactions and ensuring a memorable visit from arrival to departure.

Responsibilities

• Create a warm, friendly and professional first impression for every guest
• Manage reservations and seating using OpenTable and Micros
• Build genuine connections with guests, recognising regulars and enhancing their experience
• Anticipate guest needs and ensure a smooth, enjoyable visit from arrival to departure
• Communicate effectively with the restaurant, kitchen and management teams (including dietary requirements, celebrations, and special requests)
• Maintain a clear overview of the dining room to ensure efficient service flow
• Handle phone and in-person enquiries with confidence and professionalism
• Be a knowledgeable point of contact, guiding guests around the venue and hotel

About the Role

Perched atop Sea Containers London on the vibrant South Bank, 12th Knot is one of London’s most iconic rooftop destinations. With breath-taking views across the River Thames and the city skyline, we’re renowned for our expertly crafted cocktails, exceptional service, live DJs, and unforgettable guest experiences.

We’re looking for a confident, personable Host/Hostess to be the welcoming face of our restaurant on a part-time basis. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love engaging with people, and take pride in delivering outstanding service, we’d love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

• Create a warm, friendly and professional first impression for every guest

Salary: £12.71 p/h + service charge, plus benefits
