Job summary

Great Oakley Medical Centre is seeking a motivated Reception Supervisor to lead our busy reception and patient services team. The role focuses on delivering high-quality patient care, supervising the reception staff, and supporting service delivery within a well-established NHS GP practice.

You will oversee day-to-day operations, assist with staff training, and ensure a professional, friendly patient experience across all touchpoints.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience is essential.
• Experience within General Practice and NHS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision and support to reception staff.
• Act as a first point of contact for reception team queries.
• Support the induction, training and development of new reception staff.
• Oversee the smooth day-to-day running of reception services.
• Monitor reception workflows and ensure tasks are completed within timescales.
• Lead by example by undertaking reception duties as required.
