Job summary

Village Hotels in Wirral is seeking a friendly Reception Host to be the first and last impression guests experience. You’ll confidently greet arrivals and guide guests to our self-service check-in terminals, blending digital efficiency with genuine warmth.

As part of a busy hotel lobby team you’ll handle welcome, resolve on-the-spot issues with empathy, keep front-of-house pristine, and, when appropriate, upsell food and beverage options to enhance guest stays.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is great, but your attitude and energy matter much more to us.

Responsibilities

• The Welcome: Delivering a genuinely warm and energetic greeting to every arrival. You will confidently direct guests to our self-service terminals, stepping in to provide hands-on assistance the second they look confused or frustrated.
• The Problem Solving: Dealing with complaints politely and proactively on the spot. You will use your emotional intelligence to read the situation, resolving issues immediately or escalating them smoothly to your manager when necessary.
• The Environment: Acting as the constant, approachable face of the hotel lobby. You will keep the front of house pristine, clear away stray glassware, and always be ready to answer questions or upsell our food and beverage facilities.
