Job summary

All Together Education Recruitment is working with an infant school in Romford to recruit a Reception Teacher for a one-year maternity cover. The successful candidate will create a nurturing, engaging classroom that supports children's confidence, independence and love of learning.

Applicants should have QTS and EYFS experience, strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, and be confident in phonics, assessment and inclusive practice. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• QTS with experience in early years settings (EYFS).
• Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons.
• Strong understanding of child development and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Teach phonics and support early reading, writing and numeracy.

• Teaching phonics and supporting early reading, writing and numeracy.
• Developing stimulating continuous provision and purposeful play.
• Assessing children's progress and adapting provision to their individual needs.
• Working closely with support staff, colleagues and parents.
• Maintaining positive routines and supporting children's wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have:

• Qualified Teacher Status.
• Reception or relevant EYFS teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
• Confidence in phonics teaching, assessment and inclusive practice.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
