Job summary

All Together Education Recruitment is partnering with an infant school in Romford to recruit a Reception Teacher on a one-year maternity cover.

The successful candidate will create a nurturing, engaging classroom and help children develop confidence, independence and a love of learning across early reading, writing and numeracy.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare, plus strong knowledge of EYFS, phonics and assessment, will be essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status.
• Reception or EYFS teaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and early childhood development.
• Confidence in phonics teaching, assessment and inclusive practice.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering lessons and activities aligned with the EYFS framework.
• Teaching phonics and supporting early reading, writing and numeracy.
• Developing stimulating continuous provision and purposeful play.
• Assessing children’s progress and adapting provision to their individual needs.
• Working closely with support staff, colleagues and parents.
• Maintaining positive routines and supporting children’s wellbeing.
