Job summary

McLarens is seeking a Claims Team Leader for the Real Estate Team in Glasgow. The role is office-based and reports to the Operations Lead, providing management support to desk-based adjusters to ensure the success of the Real Estate team.

You will lead a team of desk-based claims handlers, drive performance, manage holidays and workloads, and conduct regular appraisals and development planning. A strong focus on stakeholder management and achieving targets is essential.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong management and stakeholder handling abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-pressure environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of desk-based claims handlers to provide high standards of customer service.
• Motivate the team to meet targets and personal goals.
• Manage team workflow, absences and holidays and the holiday calendar.
• Hold monthly 1-to-1 meetings and complete appraisals.
• Oversee the lifecycle of the desk-based team’s claims and training needs.
• Provide account management support where required.
• Handle complaint calls and other ad hoc tasks.
