Job summary

Agincare is seeking dedicated support workers to assist three women with learning disabilities in Semington, near Trowbridge. You will help with daily living, personal care and community activities, delivering person-centred outcomes in a supportive home setting.

The role is female-only due to a Genuine Occupational Requirement; full training will be provided, with opportunities for career development and pension benefits as part of the Agincare team.

Where you’ll be working:

Semington, Trowbridge

This service supports 3 ladies living with learning disabilities in a small village between Melksham and Trowbridge with great public transport links to the wider community. To live independently within their own home and community.

We are looking for support workers to join our amazing team, to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

As part of your day to day work you will be offering the following;

• Encouraging – people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
• Supporting – Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
• Communicating- effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods
• Engaging - promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life
• Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches
• Recording- keeping accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management
• Team player – Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
