Job summary

Agincare Group in Trowbridge is seeking dedicated support workers to provide person-centred care for women with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. The role emphasises independence, dignity, and community involvement, with a focus on compassionate daily care and activities.

You will join a team delivering outstanding outcomes and benefit from funded training, a refer-a-friend scheme, and a company pension. UK-wide presence and local service in Semington, near Trowbridge.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and positive, proactive approach.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging people to play active roles in their communities to promote independence.
• Supporting activities of daily living including personal care, meals and budgeting.
• Communicating effectively using people’s preferred methods.
• Engaging with and motivating people to improve quality of life.
• Specialising in positive behavioural support approaches where needed.
• Recording accurate information and reporting changes to management.
• Team player who can also work independently.

You will need to be enthusiastic, have great people skills, and a positive and proactive approach to your role, supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs.

Where you’ll be working:

Semington, Trowbridge

This service supports 3 ladies living with learning disabilities in a small village between Melksham and Trowbridge with great public transport links to the wider community. To live independently within their own home and community.

We are looking for support workers to join our amazing team, to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

As part of your day to day work you will be offering the following;

• Encouraging – people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
• Supporting – Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
• Communicating- effectively communicate using people’s chosen methods
• Engaging - promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life
• Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches
• Recording- keeping accurate records & reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management
• Team player – Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
