Job summary

Perfect Placement UK Ltd. seeks a skilled Vehicle Technician for a franchise-approved service centre in Talbot Green. You will diagnose faults, service and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards within a family-run dealer group.

The role offers a competitive salary, a monthly bonus, overtime, and ongoing training as part of a well-established dealership network. Monday–Friday, 8:00–17:00, with 22 days holiday and pension.

Qualifications

• Qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• 1–2 years post-qualification experience.
• Valid UK driving licence with minimal points.
• Experience with vehicle electronics advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs according to manufacturer and dealership standards
• Accurately diagnose vehicle faults and report on vehicle conditions, including safety, reliability, and performance
• Adhere strictly to quality procedures and manufacturer guidelines
• Maintain high standards of workmanship in a busy franchise environment
• Work effectively as part of a team, supporting colleagues and sharing technical expertise
• Assist in vehicle inspections, MOT testing (if qualified), and service-related tasks
• Report complex issues to the Service Manager, providing detailed diagnostics reports

• - Motivated, committed, and a team player
• - Ability to produce high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
• - Experience with vehicle electronics, diagnosis, or light commercial vehicles is advantageous but not essential
• - An active MOT Smart Card and relevant diagnosis experience are preferred
