Job summary

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join a reputable Commercial Dealership Group in the Grimsby area. This role offers long-term employment with ongoing training and clear career development prospects within a large group.

You will inspect, diagnose, and repair HGVs to DVSA standards, use specialist diagnostic equipment, and work safely within a collaborative workshop environment to keep customers' vehicles on the road.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on HGVs.
• Level 3 HGV qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ) preferred or equivalent.
• Strong workshop experience with a high standard of workmanship.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Own set of tools.
• Ability to work well within a team and maintain professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair HGV vehicles to DVSA standards, including MOT preparation and presentation.
• Diagnose faults using specialist diagnostic equipment.
• Conduct general mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Attend breakdowns, including offsite work when required.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety compliance.
• Ensure customer vehicles are kept on the road through excellent service.
• Work effectively within a team and adhere to workshop procedures.
