PROPERTY SUPPORT SERVICES UK LIMITED is seeking a Cleaning Operative for the Liberty Shopping Centre in Romford. The role operates on a zero-hour contract with hours regularly available, including AM, PM, and Evening shifts. The site opens Monday through Sunday and flexibility to cover holidays and sickness is required.

The rate is £13.56 per hour. The ideal candidate will follow instructions, be polite and professional, willing to learn, and ready to work overtime or weekends if needed.

Qualifications

• Willingness to cover overtime to support staff sickness and holidays.
• Ability to follow instructions with attention to detail.
• Polite, professional demeanor at all times.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to site procedures.
• Flexible and reliable, able to work overtime and weekends if required.
• Experience preferred but full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site cleaning specifications and health and safety guidelines.
• Clean specific areas according to the schedule and supervisor instructions.
• Attend to urgent cleaning and spills as required.
• Keep cleaning cupboards tidy and stocked.
• Report hazards or problems to Manager/Supervisor.
• Provide clear, detailed handovers to colleagues.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained and stored correctly.

Cleaning Operative Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site cleaning specifications and standards within Health and Safety guidelines.
• Clean specific areas of the site according to the schedule and specification as instructed by Manager / Supervisor.
• Attend to all urgent cleaning and spills when required.
• Ensure cleaning cupboards are always kept tidy and stocked.
• Report any identified hazards or problems to the Manager / Supervisor.
• Provide clear and detailed handovers to your work colleagues.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly.

Ideal Candidate
