Job summary

PSS Group is a national Soft Facilities Services provider delivering on-site cleaning across retail and facilities management. We are hiring a Cleaning Operative for Machinery at Market Place, Burgess Hill (RH15 9NP). The role includes early shifts Tue 06:00-11:00, Thu 06:00-11:00, Fri 06:00-13:00 with training provided.

Overtime and weekends may be required. Benefits include online GP service, EAP, volunteering day(s), and recognition awards.

Qualifications

• Willing to work overtime and weekends.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions.
• Polite, professional, and well-presented.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
• Experience preferred but full training provided.
• Uniform provided and maintained to standard.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site cleaning to specifications and safety guidelines.
• Clean designated areas according to schedule and supervisor.
• Keep cupboards tidy and stocked.
• Report hazards to Manager/Supervisor.
• Provide clear handovers to colleagues.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned and stored properly.

Cleaning Operative - Machinery

Location – Market Place, Burgess Hill, RH15 9NP

Salary -£13.85 per hour

Working Pattern

Tuesday 0600-1100

Thursday 0600-1100

Friday 0600-1300

Cleaning Operative Responsibilities Include:

• Deliver on-site cleaning specifications and standards within Health and Safety guidelines
• Clean specific areas of the site according to the schedule and specification as instructed by Manager / Supervisor
• Ensure cleaning cupboards are always kept tidy and stocked.
• Report any identified hazards or problems to the Manager / Supervisor
• Provide clear and detailed handovers to your work colleagues
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly
