Job summary

PSS Group is seeking a Cleaning Operative to join our nationwide facilities team in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will perform on-site cleaning to defined schedules and safety guidelines, ensuring areas are maintained to high standards.

Ideal candidates are reliable, flexible, and willing to work overtime or weekends if required. Full training will be provided, and a professional uniform is supplied.

Qualifications

• On-site cleaning to health and safety guidelines.
• Ability to follow the schedule and specification as instructed by Manager/Supervisor.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to site requirements.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
• Full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site cleaning specifications and standards within Health and Safety guidelines.
• Clean specific areas of the site according to the schedule and specification as instructed by Manager / Supervisor.
• Ensure cleaning cupboards are always kept tidy and stocked.
• Report any identified hazards or problems to the Manager / Supervisor.
• Provide clear and detailed handovers to your work colleagues.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly.

Cleaning Operative Responsibilities Include:

• Deliver on-site cleaning specifications and standards within Health and Safety guidelines
• Clean specific areas of the site according to the schedule and specification as instructed by Manager / Supervisor
• Ensure cleaning cupboards are always kept tidy and stocked.
• Report any identified hazards or problems to the Manager / Supervisor
• Provide clear and detailed handovers to your work colleagues
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly

Ideal Candidate:

• Willing to support with overtime to cover staff sickness & Holidays
• Ability to follow instructions
• Polite and professional
• Willingness to learn
• Flexible and reliable willing to do overtime & weekends if required
• Experience preferred but full training provided
