Job summary

PSS Group is seeking a Cleaning Operative to work on-site across customer sites within the Gateshead area. This full-time role requires adherence to cleaning specifications, safety guidelines, and routine handovers to colleagues.

Training is provided and a uniform is supplied to ensure professional presentation. The ideal candidate will be reliable, polite, and willing to work overtime including weekends if required.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work overtime to cover sickness and holidays.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Polite and professional demeanor in customer-facing environments.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to site standards.
• Flexible and reliable; willing to do overtime and weekends if required.
• Experience preferred but full training provided by the employer.
• Uniform provided; maintain good self-presentation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site cleaning specifications and standards within Health and Safety guidelines.
• Clean specific areas of the site according to the schedule and specification as instructed by Manager / Supervisor.
• Ensure cleaning cupboards are always kept tidy and stocked.
• Report any identified hazards or problems to the Manager / Supervisor.
• Provide clear and detailed handovers to your work colleagues.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and stored correctly.

Cleaning Operative Responsibilities Include:

• Deliver on-site cleaning specifications and standards within Health and Safety guidelines
• Clean specific areas of the site according to the schedule and specification as instructed by Manager / Supervisor
• Ensure cleaning cupboards are always kept tidy and stocked.
• Report any identified hazards or problems to the Manager / Supervisor
• Provide clear and detailed handovers to your work colleagues
