Job summary

Essex County Council (ECC) are recruiting an IT Support Officer on a full-time, temporary basis to support Rochford District Council. The role is on-site at Launchpad, Airport Business Park, Rochford, with a 37-hour week and a 3-month contract.

The Technical Officer will work with a Technical Analyst to deliver first-line service desk support, handling MS technologies and general IT tasks, including hardware deployment and decommissioning, ensuring high-quality customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT helpdesk or service desk environments.
• Knowledge of Microsoft technologies and related tools.
• Familiarity with ITIL concepts is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support and resolve incidents for users.
• Collaborate with Technical Analyst as part of the Digital, Data and Technology team.
• Assist with hardware commissioning and decommissioning and general IT support.

Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Rochford District Council in recruiting an IT Support Officer on a full-time, temporary basis.

Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to work on-site only.

Working Location: Launchpad, Airport Business Park, Cherry Orchard Way, Rochford, SS4 1YH

Working Pattern: Monday-Thursday; 08:30am-17:00pm / Friday: 08:30am-16:30pm
