Job summary

Essex County Council is seeking an IT Support Officer for Rochford District Council on a full-time, temporary basis. The role is on-site at Launchpad, with standard hours and a 3-month contract. You will join a motivated IT team delivering first-line service desk support and handling hardware lifecycle tasks.

The ideal candidate has experience in IT support, strong customer service skills, and knowledge of Microsoft technologies; ITIL knowledge is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Experience in IT helpdesk/Service Desk preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft technologies required.
• ITIL knowledge is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line IT support and customer service with a technical twist.
• Handle hardware commissioning/decommissioning and general IT Support tasks.
• Work with Technical Analyst to deliver Digital, Data and Technology services.
