Willing Care Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Deputy Room Leader to support the day-to-day running of the 2–3 Year Old Room in a welcoming nursery in Lewisham, England.

The role offers leadership development within a supportive team, with a focus on safeguarding, EYFS, and delivering play-based learning to help toddlers grow in confidence and independence.

Qualifications

Are you an experienced Early Years Educator with a passion for supporting toddlers as they learn, explore, and develop their independence?

We're looking for a dedicated Deputy Room Leader to join our client's welcoming nursery, supporting the day-to-day running of the 2–3 Year Old Room. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Nursery Practitioner or Senior Practitioner who is ready to take the next step in their career and develop their leadership skills within a supportive setting.

Working alongside the Room Leader, you'll help create a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can build confidence, develop key skills, and thrive through play-based learning.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working with toddlers or children aged 2–3 years
• Experience within a nursery, preschool, or childcare setting
• Strong understanding of the EYFS framework
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to support and guide colleagues within the room
• Passion for supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing
• Good knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices
