Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic for a leading UK automotive retailer based in Huddersfield. The role requires a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or a Level 2 Technician/Mechanic with at least 3 years of experience.

You should own a well-stocked toolbox and be prepared to work on a variety of vehicles. Salary is up to £42,000 basic plus bonus and overtime, with OTE around £46k.

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, or Level 2 Technician/Mechanic with 3+ years' experience.
• Own a well-stocked toolbox suitable for workshop duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service, and repair a diverse range of customer and dealership vehicles following manufacturer guidelines.
• Carry out routine servicing, safety inspections, and diagnostic fault-finding.
• Work on mechanical and electrical systems including brakes, clutches, suspensions, and gearboxes.

Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role with a Level 3 qualification, or Level 2 Technician / Mechanic with 3 years’ experience, for one of the UK’s leading vehicle retail groups, working on a wide range of vehicles. Great salary, benefits, overtime and bonus opportunities.

Salary – Up to £42,000 Basic + Bonus + Overtime OTE 46k DOE & Qualifications

Days – Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm, Saturday mornings on a rota
