Job summary

Octane Recruitment is seeking a Level 3 Vehicle Technician for a leading UK automotive fleet operator. Based in Guildford, you will perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs across a wide range of vehicles, trailers and equipment using our modern workshop.

The role offers a 39.5-hour week, shifts 6am-2pm and 10:30am-7pm, Saturdays on a 1-in-3 rota, with a basic salary of £40,906 plus bonus and overtime, and a potential OTE of £65,000.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent IMI / City & Guilds).
• Hands-on workshop experience as a mechanic or technician, ideally within a franchised dealership environment.
• Right to work in the UK and full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles, trailers and mechanical equipment.
• Use personal toolkit for routine maintenance and repairs; access to specialist tools in modern workshops.
• Work within a large fleet operation to ensure high uptime.

Vehicle Technician Requirements
