Job summary

Auto Skills UK in Huddersfield is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to service, diagnose, and repair vehicles to the highest standards within a busy dealership workshop.

You will work 39 hours per week, with a 1 in 4 Saturday rota, and benefit from a competitive package including life insurance, medical plan, a free MOT for your personal vehicle, and ongoing training to advance your career.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (essential).
• Minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience as Vehicle Technician/Vehicle Mechanic.
• Strong diagnostic and technical knowledge.
• Own tools and toolbox.
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (subject to licence checks).
• The right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available).

Responsibilities

• Carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance, and repair work.
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently.
• Performing repairs and maintenance to manufacturer standards.
• Ensuring compliance with manufacturer and health & safety guidelines.
• Accurately documenting all completed service and repair work.
• Providing technical advice and support where required.
• Working collaboratively with the workshop team to maximise productivity.
• Delivering exceptional workmanship and customer satisfaction.

THE ROLE

As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for carrying out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs to the highest standards while ensuring every vehicle is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with manufacturer requirements.

ABOUT YOU

We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (essential)
• A minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience as a Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic
• Strong technical knowledge and diagnostic skills
• MOT Tester Licence desirable but not essential
• Ownership of your own tools and toolbox
• A positive attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Full UK Manual Driving Licence (subject to licence checks)
• The right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
