Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are looking for Class 2 Drivers in Scunthorpe to work with our client, a manufacturer and distributor of cement, ready-mix concrete and aggregates.

You will operate HGV Class 2 vehicles and perform mixer work; training is provided if required. A Class 2 licence, UK DCPC card and Digi-Tacho card are required, with 12 months of experience. Visa assistance or relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Class 2 driving licence held for 12 months or more.
• UK DCPC card required; Digi-Tacho card beneficial.
• Willing to undergo mixer training if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 2 vehicles.
• Perform mixer work (training provided if required).
• Carry out routine vehicle checks and keep cab/trailer clean.
• Secure loads correctly and complete daily paperwork.

Pay Rate: £16.12 to £18.06 p/h

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (06:30 start times)

Overtime:Occassional Saturdays

Experience:12 months Class 2 essential - MPQC qual beneficial

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Operating HGV Class 2 vehicles
• Performing mixer work (training provided if required)
• Routine vehicle checks and maintaining trailer and cab cleanliness
• Ensuring all loads are placed and secured correctly
• Completing daily paperwork accurately

All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures.

About you:

You will have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

Previous experience working with cement/aggregates would be beneficial.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
