Job summary

Agincare is seeking Bank Support Workers in Grantham, Lincolnshire to provide person-centred support for people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health and complex needs. The role involves enabling independence, daily living activities and community integration, delivered with enthusiasm and strong people skills.

You will work as part of a friendly team across our Grantham services, with options for full-time, part-time and bank shifts.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated empathy and patience in working with individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs.
• Strong communication skills to interact with service users, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging independence and active participation in community activities.
• Support with Activities of Daily Living, personal care, meal planning and budgeting.
• Communicate effectively using each person’s preferred method of communication.
• Engage and motivate service users to improve quality of life.
• Support individuals with positive behavioural approaches when needed.
• Record accurate health and service changes and report to management.
• Work well in a team and also show initiative when required.

We are looking for BankSupport Workers for our Services in Grantham,

This is a unique service within Grantham offering supporting living, enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community.

We are looking for support workers to join our amazing team, and to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.

• Encouraging – people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
• Supporting – Activities of daily Living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.

• Engaging - promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life
• Specialising - supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches
• Recording - keeping accurate records &reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management
• Team player – Working as part of a team, as well as being able to work using your own initiative.
