Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd in Borehamwood is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy fleet workshop. You will diagnose, service and repair a varied fleet, using diagnostic equipment and maintaining documentation to high standards.

A Level 3 LV Maintenance qualification, full UK driving licence, and the right to work in the UK are essential. OTE includes bonus and overtime, with regular overtime paid at time and a half and 42.5 hour week on day shifts.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Right to work in the UK is required.
• LCV experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carry out vehicle inspections and MOT preparation work.
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults efficiently.
• Service, maintain and repair a varied fleet of cars and light commercial vehicles.
• Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately.

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Mechanic to join a busy fleet workshop in Borehamwood. Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, have strong servicing and repair experience, hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK. LCV experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

Location: Borehamwood

OTE: £45,729 including bonus and overtime

Hours: 42.5 hours per week – day shifts only

Overtime: Regularly available, paid at time and a half

This is a fleet-based position without retail sales targets or customer-facing pressure, offering day shifts and extensive technical development through an IMI-accredited training centre. Training includes Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, tail lifts, braking systems and vehicle electrics.
