Job summary

Octane Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a busy fleet workshop in Egham.

You will service, maintain and repair a varied fleet of cars and light commercial vehicles, diagnose faults with electrical systems, and prepare vehicles for MOTs. The role offers a basic salary of £39,729 with OTE £45,729, 42.5 hours per week on day shifts, overtime at time and a half, and a range of company benefits and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
• Previous Vehicle Technician/Automotive Technician or Mechanic experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence and right to work in the UK.

Vehicle Technician - Egham

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Mechanic to join a busy fleet workshop in Egham. Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, have strong servicing and repair experience, hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK. LCV experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

• Salary: £39,729 basic
• OTE: £45,729 including bonus and overtime

Vehicle Technician Role

• Service, maintain and repair a varied fleet of cars and light commercial vehicles
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
• Carry out vehicle inspections and MOT preparation work
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults efficiently
• Ensure vehicles remain safe, roadworthy and legally compliant
• Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately
• Maintain high repair standards while minimising vehicle downtime

Vehicle Technician Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent - essential
• Previous Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Mechanic experience
• Strong servicing, maintenance and mechanical repair skills
• Diagnostic and electrical fault-finding experience
• LCV or van experience advantageous but not essential
• Full UK Driving Licence - essential
