Job summary

Octane Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician for a busy fleet workshop in Egham. You will diagnose, service and repair light vehicles, perform inspections and MOT prep, and use diagnostic tools to identify faults. A Level 3 LVMR qualification and a valid UK driving licence are essential.

OTE: £45,729 including bonus and overtime. 42.5 hours per week, day shifts, overtime paid at time and a half.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
• Strong servicing, maintenance and mechanical repair skills
• Full UK Driving Licence – essential
• Right to work in the UK
• LCV experience advantageous but not essential

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
• Carry out vehicle inspections and MOT preparation work
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults
• Service, maintain and repair a varied fleet of cars and light commercial vehicles
• Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately
• Maintain high repair standards while minimising vehicle downtime

Job description

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Mechanic to join a busy fleet workshop in Egham. Applicants must hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, have strong servicing and repair experience, hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK. LCV experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

OTE: £45,729 including bonus and overtime

Hours: 42.5 hours per week – day shifts only

This is a fleet-based position without retail sales targets or customer-facing pressure, offering day shifts and extensive technical development through an IMI-accredited training centre. Training includes Hybrid and Electric Vehicles, tail lifts, braking systems and vehicle electrics.
