Job summary

The Vale Federation in the United Kingdom is seeking an IT Technician to support the efficient operation of the school’s IT services. You will report to the IT and Finance Manager and be responsible for managing and maintaining the school's technology infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and providing technical support to staff and students.

The role requires experience of supporting a Microsoft environment and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the IT and Finance Manager, the candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the school's technology infrastructure. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, ensuring the functionality of computers, printers, and network systems, and providing technical support to staff and students. They may also be tasked with installing and updating software, managing user accounts and permissions, overseeing cybersecurity measures, and ensuring that all technology systems run smoothly to support teaching and learning activities. Additionally, they may assist in setting up and maintaining classroom tech tools like interactive whiteboards and projectors.
