Job summary

Metro Rod Norwich is seeking a dedicated drainage technician for full-time permanent work. The role involves CCTV inspection, patch lining, and high-pressure water jetting across commercial and domestic sites.

You will join a reputed team offering on-call duties, overtime, and a structured training path within a growing Franchise Brands network.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial & domestic drainage is essential.
• Experience in drain cleaning, drain repairs, patch lining.
• Drainage tickets including HPWJ, Confined spaces and CSCS.
• Experience with CCTV surveys and lining.
• Willing to work occasional / unsociable hours.
• Full UK driving licence – over 25 for insurance purposes.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out drainage cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance for customers.
• Operate High-Pressure Water Jetting equipment following safety standards.
• Carry out CCTV surveys and surveys of drainage systems.
• Record all work details in internal/customer systems and apps.
• Provide excellent customer service and technical support to clients.

What’s involved?

Duties

We are looking for someone who can do CCTV and coding, as well as patching & lining on top of the regular reactive duties:

• Carrying out a range of services associated with the cleaning, clearance, repair, and maintenance of our customers’ drains
• Operation of High-Pressure Water Jetting Equipment in line with rigorous safety standards
• Carrying out surveys
• Providing an exceptional standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Accurately recording work/job details via a range of bespoke internal/client systems and apps
• Communicate effectively with high profile commercial and domestic clients and Metro Rod Support Centre colleagues to ensure excellent customer service is always provided
• Being part of an on-call rota to help service our clients 24/7 / 365 days a year.

What do we look for?

Suitable candidates will be able to display a great working attitude together with skills pertaining to the clearance, cleaning and repair of both internal small bore and external drainage systems.

• Experience in commercial & domestic Drainage is essential

• Drainage tickets including HPWJ, Confined spaces and CSCS
• Have experience with CCTV Surveys and Lining
• Will have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude
• Be willing to work occasional / unsociable hours
• Hold a full UK driving licence – must be over 25 for insurance purposes
