Job summary

Metro Rod Bedford, Luton & Watford is hiring a Reactive Drainage Engineer on a full-time permanent basis. You will perform emergency services, cleaning, clearance, repair, installation and maintenance on customer assets, delivering high standards of service and technical expertise.

Applicants should have drainage experience (commercial and domestic), CSCS and drainage tickets, and a positive, flexible can-do attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial and domestic drainage is essential.
• Tickets: HPWJ, Confined spaces, CSCS.
• Willing to work occasional/unsociable hours and hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out emergency services including cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of assets.
• Deliver high standards of customer service and technical expertise.
• Operate in compliance with H&S and quality procedures.
• Record completed work details in internal and client systems.
• Communicate effectively to ensure excellent service.

What’s involved?

• Carry out a range of services associated with our emergency services offering, cleaning, clearance, repair, installation and maintenance of our customer’s assets new and old
• Deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Operate in accordance with H&S and Quality procedures
• Maintain a high standard of company service, vehicles and equipment
• Accurately record completed work details via internal and client systems
• Communicate effectively to ensure an excellent service is provided at all times
• Have a positive and helpful can-do attitude
• Cover normal working hours and “on call” out-of-hours on a rota basis and have a flexible attitude to covering emergency situations when called upon outside of the these periods

What do we look for?

Suitable candidates will be able to display a great working attitude together with skills pertaining to the clearance, cleaning and repair of both internal small bore and external drainage systems.

• Experience in commercial & domestic Drainage is essential
• Experience in drain cleaning, drain repairs, patch lining
• Drainage tickets including HPWJ, Confined spaces and CSCS
• Have experience with CCTV Surveys and Lining an advantage
• Will have a positive, flexible, can-do attitude

• Be willing to work occasional / unsociable hours
• Hold a full UK driving licence – must be over 21 for insurance purposes
• Must live in the postcode areas noted above
