Job summary

Metro Rod Bedford, Luton & Watford is seeking a Reactive Drainage Engineer to join our emergency services team. You will handle drainage cleaning, clearance and repairs for commercial and domestic properties, while maintaining high customer service and technical standards.

You will operate under HS&E and quality procedures, log job details, and be prepared for rota-based on-call shifts. A full UK driving licence and a flexible, proactive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in commercial & domestic Drainage is essential.
• Experience in drain cleaning, drain repairs, patch lining.
• Drainage tickets including HPWJ, Confined spaces and CSCS.
• Experience with CCTV Surveys and Lining is an advantage.
• Positive, flexible, can-do attitude; willing to work unsociable hours.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and be over 21 for insurance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a range of services for emergency drainage jobs, including cleaning, clearance, repair, installation and maintenance.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise.
• Operate in line with H&S and Quality procedures.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and records of work.
• Communicate effectively to provide excellent service at all times.
• Cover normal hours and on-call out-of-hours on a rota basis.

What’s involved?

• Carry out a range of services associated with our emergency services offering, cleaning, clearance, repair, installation and maintenance of our customer’s assets new and old
• Deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise
• Operate in accordance with H&S and Quality procedures
• Maintain a high standard of company service, vehicles and equipment
• Accurately record completed work details via internal and client systems
• Communicate effectively to ensure an excellent service is provided at all times
• Have a positive and helpful can-do attitude
• Cover normal working hours and "on call" out-of-hours on a rota basis and have a flexible attitude to covering emergency situations when called upon outside of the these periods

What do we look for?

Suitable candidates will be able to display a great working attitude together with skills pertaining to the clearance, cleaning and repair of both internal small bore and external drainage systems.

• Experience in commercial & domestic Drainage is essential
• Experience in drain cleaning, drain repairs, patch lining
• Drainage tickets including HPWJ, Confined spaces and CSCS
• Have experience with CCTV Surveys and Lining an advantage
• Will have a positive, flexible, can-do attitudeWant to be part of an exciting, growing and progressive business with an increasingly formidable brand presence
• Be willing to work occasional / unsociable hours
• Hold a full UK driving licence – must be over 21for insurance purposes
