Job summary

Boughey Distribution, part of the NWF Group, is recruiting drivers for our Lymedale, Newcastle under Lyme site on day shift (5 on, 3 off). You will complete vehicle checks, ensure safe and timely deliveries across Cheshire and surrounding areas, and assist with yard work as required.

We offer weekly pay at £18.50 per hour, 29 days holiday, funded training, a company pension, life assurance, and access to staff discounts and other benefits across the group.

Qualifications

• Current CPC and tachograph card with a good understanding of driver hours regulations.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Excellent communication skills to handle customer queries at delivery and collaborate with the Boughey team on site.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift, adhering to HGV driving rules.
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas.
• Manoeuvre trucks into loading/unloading positions and secure loads; support in yard as required.

Day to Day

• Complete vehicle checks at the start and end of each shift –complying withall HGV driving rules throughout your shift to ensure there is no unnecessary damage to vehicles
• Ensure safe and prompt delivery of goods across Cheshire and surrounding areas
• Manoeuvring trucks into loading and unloading positions, ensuring loads are secured, provide support in the yard including handball or pump truck deliveries where required
