Job summary

Renishaw in Wotton-under-Edge is seeking a Raman Application Scientist to join the Spectroscopy Products Division. You will help customers by demonstrating how Renishaw’s Raman solutions meet their analytical needs, delivering on-site and remote demonstrations, and supporting the sales team.

The role combines technical science with commercial responsibilities, including training, attending exhibitions, and creating training materials.

Qualifications

Degree in a related discipline.
Experience with analytical instrumentation in a customer-facing environment.
Knowledge of Raman spectroscopy.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt style for industrial and academic audiences.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
Full UK driving licence and passport.

Responsibilities

Conduct feasibility studies and on-site/remote instrument demonstrations to support the sales team.
Provide expert guidance to support existing customers, including on-site training and workshops.
Support marketing activities such as exhibitions, seminars, and webinars.
Production of marketing and training materials (notes, posters, manuals, brochures, etc.).
