Job summary

Agilent Technologies in the UK invites a seasoned software engineering leader to manage the Raman software team at LSCE in Oxford/Harwell. You will drive the next‑generation Raman software products, align with the product lifecycle, and collaborate with global partners to integrate hardware and software.

The role blends people leadership with hands‑on software development, DevSecOps, and cloud deployment across MS and Linux platforms, including exposure to regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical teams (project or people manager).
• Experience designing/developing commercial software on MS/Linux platforms with modern architectures (containers, microservices, messaging, web tech).
• Experience with software development in regulated environments (21 CFR Part 11) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of next‑gen Raman software products.
• Manage overall operations in the assigned R&D area and ensure lifecycle alignment.
• Mentor software engineers and foster innovation and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with global internal/external partners to integrate hardware and software.
• Drive investigations to resolution of engineering and research challenges.
