Job summary

WSP is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the technical delivery of rail engineering projects across the UK and overseas. You will direct multi-disciplinary teams, manage client relationships, and promote a strong safety culture on every project.

Based in one of our UK city centres, you will work within the Engineering Management and Project Management Service Line, mentoring future engineering managers and guiding design coordination and digitalisation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Engineering management experience on multi-disciplinary railway projects.
• Experience in railway engineering design.
• Experience across full project lifecycle from feasibility to detailed design.
• Understanding of CSM/CDM and safety regulations.
• Chartered or incorporated registration with a relevant engineering institution.
• Ability to lead client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and coordinate multi-disciplinary technical teams.
• Manage client and stakeholder relationships to achieve outcomes.
• Set an example for health, safety and welfare on projects.
• Lead on development and management of client requirements and other assurance outputs.
• Lead design coordination activities and promote digitalisation to aid delivery.
• Work alongside Project and Design Managers to ensure the technical delivery of Rail projects.
• Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to aspiring engineering managers.
