Job summary

EKFB is seeking a Rail Systems Discipline Lead to join the Routewide team in Milton Keynes. You will manage technical rail systems interfaces across track, signalling, telecoms and traction power, chair client meetings, and oversee design change impact assessments with other disciplines.

You will drive system safety, interoperability, and security considerations, coordinate with handover teams, and lead the O&M manual strategy for construction.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in technical rail systems roles (design/engineering) on major projects or significant upgrades.
• Ability to lead a team with competing priorities and focus on project outcomes.
• Strong communication skills across multiple levels, internal and external.
• Experience managing commercial/contractual aspects with suppliers and clients.

Responsibilities

• Chair client interfaces for rail systems domains (Track, OCS, traction power, signalling and telecoms).
• Lead management and assessment of technical changes impacting rail systems.
• Oversee production of O&M related documentation during construction and handover.
• Ensure compliance and threat/vulnerability assessments are updated with design changes.
