Job summary

EKFB is seeking a Rail Systems Discipline Lead in Milton Keynes to oversee the technical rail systems interface with the client, covering track, OCS, traction power, signalling and telecoms. You will chair client meetings, manage design changes across disciplines and lead strategy for construction-phase O&M documentation.

The role requires leading a team, managing agreements with suppliers and the client, and ensuring timely handover to rail systems contractors in line with the programme.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in technical rail systems roles within major projects or significant upgrades.
• Chartered professional qualification (CEng MPWI or equivalent) desirable.
• Ability to lead a team with competing priorities for the best project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical rail systems interface with client across track, OCS, traction, signalling and telecoms.
• Chair client interface meetings and manage design changes impacting other disciplines.
• Oversee O&M manual strategy during construction and ensure timely handover to contractors.
